On December 17, 2012, Brett and I dedicated Zion to the Lord. Here is our hearts that we shared with our church family, City on a Hill:
"By the Grace of God, Olivia and I, will raise Zion in the understanding that the chief end of man is to glorify God and enjoy Him forever. We commit ourselves to the Word of God as the road map to raising Zion. Zion, as you learn by example through watching us memorize and diligently study scripture, we also promise to daily aide in hiding God's Word in your heart and teach you how to digest his Word. We want to help you see that the Scriptures principally teach what man is to believe concerning God and what duty God requires of Man. We want you to see your need for the gospel, so we will be transparent in showing you our daily need of Jesus, and the joy that comes when we see our need for the cross and submit to the Lordship of Jesus Christ.

In everyday life, we want to help you to be in awe of God; teaching you that God made all beautiful things: trees, birds, blue skies, and rainbows, and that he made them to make you happy and for your pleasure. Just as he made these things for your pleasure, he made discipline, which although seems unpleasant in the moment, God promises discipline to yield in you the peaceful fruit of righteousness.
Finally, we promise to have a marriage that is unified and shows you the relationship between Christ and the Church. Speaking to each other with kindness, patience, and love, so that someday you will know how to speak kindly, patiently, and lovingly to your own husband."
We love you Zion! We are so excited to watch you grow!
